Ten on Tuesday.

1. How many blogs do you read every day and what are they? (I'm talking the ones you NEVER miss)
I read whatever shows up in my Google Reader.
2. How many "best friends" do you have? Do you have different "besties" for different areas of your life?
I have a Bestie, a Biffle, and 2 other best friends. I'm close with other people, but those 4 are my go to people.
3. What's your daily make up routine?
I don't have one. I wash my face, and that's usually it.
4. What is your ideal girl's night?
Out for dinner or drinks with no drama.
5. Do you keep up with your nail/toenails or are they au natural?
I keep up with my toenails, and try to keep my fingers polished.
6. What's your best roommate story (assuming you had a roommate at some point in your life)?
The best roommate period I had was summer between freshman and sophomore years of college. I was friends with the girls I was living with and we had a ton of fun.
7. What's your "go to" outfit that you wear more than anything else?
Jeans and a cute top or tee.
8. Do you have a beauty secret?
Be confident.
9. Did you read Seventeen magazine growing up?
Not really.
10. How did you learn to put on makeup?
I never really did. I kind of taught myself the bare minimum (eye makeup, haha)

Five Question Friday.

What is your favorite sign of spring?
April showers! I love a good rainstorm.

What was your best birthday ever?
They've all been really good. 18 was the birthday that I moved away to college the next day, so it really felt like growing up. I went out to dinner with my best friend and we saw a movie. Nothing major, just chill. This year (25 in August), I'm planning on going sky diving. Who wants to join me?

What is your favorite dessert?
Hands down: Creme Brulee.

What is the best excuse you've ever used to get out of a ticket?
I've never gotten out of a ticket, so I can't answer this one.

Do you wake up before your alarm, with your alarm, or after hitting snooze several times?
When I set one (which isn't often these days), I wake up right before it, or when it goes off.

P90X update!

I think it's about time for a p90x update, eh?

I'm in the second week of Training Block 2 (month 2 of 3). I honestly can't believe I've made it this far. The workouts are hardcore, and I think in the back of my mind I figured I would fail in the first month. The first month, I slacked on the eating well part. I had it in my head that because I was doing such intense workouts every day, that I could eat however I wanted. That didn't work out very well. I was also around people that weren't great influences in the eating well department (granted, I am the only person deciding what I eat).

So, for the next 7.5 weeks I have left (and the past 1.5 weeks), I'm going to really watch what I eat and drink. I'm going to get back into Weight Watchers and try to learn the new plan like I should have in January. I haven't had soda in a week, and I'm going to limit my beer intake to 2 a week. I think my main problem right now is that I'm home and around my kitchen all day every day. I've cleaned out almost all of the junk food. I have a huge sweet tooth, so getting rid of some of the candy is proving more difficult than planned, even though there isn't much because it's so expensive!

As I already said, the workouts are crazy. I can feel my muscles getting stronger, and I love that. I work up a sweat just in the warmup portions (lots of running in place and jumping jacks). I think my favorite DVD so far is the X Stretch, or the Chest Shoulders Triceps DVD. The first 2 days I was so sore it hurt to sneeze. But I loved it. I like working out at home, I'm not a "go to the gym and work out in front of other people" kind of girl. I've never liked it, so I'm glad I've finally found a program I can do at home, and feel like I'm actually working towards something. I'll definitely be sticking with the program as a maintenance program when I'm done with the original 90 days. Even though I have a horrible knee problem, I can easily modify the exercises I need to.

I have a goal, with an amazing reward at the end, so I just need to stick my nose to the grindstone and get to my goal.

What do you do for exercise? Are you happy with it?

I was in no way compensated by Beachbody or p90x for this blog post.

Five Question Friday.

1. Have you ever forgotten your child in a store or at school?
No children, so no. Not even my nieces.

2. Where did you go on your very first date? (Like...first first, not first with your spouse or current significant other!)
The movies. How boring.

3. What's your "silly" fear? (We're not talking water and heights.)
Roaches. Living on my own, I'm having to get over it., though.

4. Confrontation: do you cause it, deal with is as it comes, or run far far away?
I deal with it and run.

5. Wood floors or carpet?
I have carpet and tile in my house. I'm not a big fan of wood floors (they look pretty, that's about it), but when (hopefully within the next 2 years) I rip up the carpet in my house, I'll put in hardwood, because I know it will make the condo easier to sell in the long run.

Five Question Friday.

1. Have you worn the same outfit more than one day in a row?
Yeah. But only when I wear it for a little while the first day.

2. If you had to choose any LARGE city to live in, which would it be?
Chicago or LA. I love both those cities, and have contemplated moving to both.

3. Fly or drive with the kids on vacation?
Drive. My parents took us on so many road trips as kids, and I want to do the same with my kids (when I have them). We used to drive from FL to NJ and back in one weekend (we did it quite a few times).

4. What is your idea of "spring cleaning"?
Cleaning everything out- closets, drawers, kitchen stuff, everything.

5. What is the best book you have ever read?
Seriously? I've read way too many books to answer this question. I just finished "Water for Elephants" and highly recommend it to everyone!
